B6 Audi A4 Window Regulator Problems

The Volkswagen Group group's B platform provides the basis for the Audi A4 line of compact executive automobiles. Coupes, saloon and estate car models all fall into this family of vehicles. The Sixth Generation B6 is a popular choice for the VW subsidiary, Audi. Popular, yes, but some vehicle owners do experience problems from time to time.

Problems with the window regulators on these vehicles do sometimes occur. If the power windows on your car are not performing as they should, this can be very frustrating. There may be a part in the regulator that needs replacing. It is possible that the motor itself has burned out and you may need a replacement for that as well. Swapping out a window regulator isn't an expensive repair in itself and should be a relatively quick procedure.

Some other Audi and VW models have had problems with failing regulating clips. A failed window regulator certainly won't prevent you from driving your car where you want to go. Those Audi owners who live in hotter climates will certainly want to address this problem before the weather warms up or they will be forced to run the air conditioning even in moderately warm weather.

If you are experiencing problems with your Audi A4, consider taking it to a trained German import technician for a proper diagnosis and repair. A trained expert will be able to give you a proper estimate on the repair costs as they will have likely encountered the same or similar problems in other Audi models.

Search for a local, independent Audi repair shop with Audi mechanics that have dealer-level expertise at a fraction of the expense.
